My answer?
I drove one.
Until then, I’d had my eye on a Jaguar. I'd always been intrigued by high performance driving on-track. I figured it could only help with handling emergencies on the streets. So I took a track day with a friend who happened to own an older Porsche Boxster. After that, there was no going back, and I started shopping for my own. I found one for sale at Brumos Porsche in Jacksonville, Florida (I was such a beginner, that I had no idea of Brumos' history with Porsche). I hopped on a plane, drove the car, and bought it on the spot.
The rest is history. I now call that Boxster my “gateway drug.”
It wasn’t long before I was restoring my own — and realized I had a passion for it and an eye for detail that I could turn into a business. The name Refresche was a perfect fit, since in every sense of the word what I do is take vintage Porsches—and refresh them.
I’m now the proud owner of six Porsches. (And if you happen to have one you’d like to unload, let’s talk.)
